⚒️ Vanguard Production Update + Fantasy Coin !

Hello dear friends,

It has been a little while since our last update, so this is the perfect time to let you know how production is progressing and how we are moving forward with our timeline.

Vanguard Dice Sets

First things first: the Vanguard dice sets.

We have currently completed all of the Knightsplate Silver Vanguard sets. Every die has passed through quality control, has been grouped into full sets, and is now ready to be packed.

As for the Sunburst Gold sets, all of the dice have already been casted, and as we speak our workshop is working day in and day out sanding, filing, polishing, and hand-finishing every single piece. We expect these to be fully completed within the coming days.

This means that the dice themselves are almost entirely finished, and we can now begin shifting our focus toward the remaining Kickstarter add-ons.

Dice Thrones, Vaults & Trays

At the moment, we are casting all of the Dice Thrones, which should be completed within the following weeks.

After that, our attention turns toward the Vanguard Vaults. Our woodworking partners are currently producing all of the carved wooden boxes, while we are simultaneously casting all of the metal components. Assembly of the vaults will begin throughout July.

Following the vaults, we will focus on the Dice Trays, which are among the most demanding pieces of the entire campaign. These require extensive assembly work, precision fitting, and careful finishing in order to meet the standards we want for Vanguard.

Finally, we will move on to all of the GIGA DICE. These are particularly demanding pieces — difficult to print, difficult to cast, and extremely time-consuming to finish properly — but we are very excited about how they are turning out.

Timeline

All in all, we are feeling very confident about the production timeline.

If nothing unexpected happens — which can always occur in handcrafted production — we believe we will complete the production phase of the Kickstarter by the end of August or early September. At the moment, we are within a very healthy timeframe.

After production is completed, we will dedicate the following months to carefully packaging every reward and organizing fulfillment in the safest and most reliable way possible.

A Small Side Project from the Forge

And now, for something a little different.

Please take a look at these beautiful fantasy metal coins that we are currently working on.

This is a fun little side project from Ember Forge — and our very first fantasy coin design. One side features a sword, while the other bears a shield surrounded by Norse knotwork and draconic fantasy forms.

We are honestly extremely happy with how these turned out.

These collectible tokens are already available on our Etsy shop, and we are currently working on additional designs. We also plan to transform many of these into pendants and wearable jewelry pieces in the future.

We wanted to share a quick update and a small reminder as we move forward with production.

Pledge Manager — About 15 Days Left

The Pledge Manager will be collecting funds in roughly 15 days. If you have not yet completed your survey, now is the time to do so.

Please take a moment to visit the Pledge Manager and make sure everything in your pledge is finalized. There you can:

a) Review and confirm your shipping address

b) Add any extra add-ons you might want

c) Choose the color of your Vanguard items (Knightsplate Silver or Sunburst Gold)

Completing your survey helps us lock in the final numbers so we can ramp up production with confidence. There are only about 15 days left, so please make sure your pledge is finalized.

Production Progress

Production continues to move steadily.

We have completed most of the Knightsplate Silver sets, which means a large portion of the campaign is already well underway. The final step now is determining the exact numbers of the Sunburst Gold components based on the results of the BackerKit surveys.

Once those numbers are confirmed, we will proceed with the final stage of production for the Sunburst items.

A First Look at Sunburst Gold Vault 

Speaking of Sunburst options, here is something fresh from the foundry.

We recently finished one of the Vanguard Vaults in Sunburst Gold, and we have to say, it turned out even more impressive than we expected.

At the beginning, we weren’t completely sure whether we should offer the Vanguard collection in two color variations. But now, seeing the vault finished in Sunburst Gold, we are very glad that we made that decision.

Production Update, Pledge Manager & VIP Discounts

Hello everyone !
We wanted to share a quick update with you all.

Production Progress

Production is moving smoothly and at a very good pace.
At the moment, we already have more than 400 Vanguard sets in hand with most of them being completely finished and others in various stages of production.
From the very beginning, we made the decision to pre-produce the majority of the sets needed to fulfill your pledges. This preparation is paying off now, as it allows us to move forward confidently and efficiently.

Even with the rising prices of metals and minerals caused by the current unstable geopolitical situation, your Vanguard sets will not be affected at all. Most of the required material has already been secured and is already being worked on.

Dice Trays & Vaults

We’ve also received the ethically sourced American walnut that will be used for the Vanguard Dice Trays and Dice Vaults.

Right now, the wood is being segmented and sanded smooth, preparing it for one of the later stages of production: the CNC carving and fitting of velum and other metal parts. Everything is progressing exactly as planned.

Pledge Manager

The Pledge Manager will open in a few days. 
We are currently polishing a few final details with our international postal hub partners.Other than that, it is ready to go. 
We are still hoping to hit the Late January deadline for the opening of the pledge manager but there is a chance we will move this to early February.

Once it opens, you’ll be able to:

Confirm and modify your pledge

Add extra items and add-ons

Provide your shipping address

Everyone will receive an invitation, so please stay tuned.

VIP Backers & Discounts

We also want to clarify how VIP discounts will be handled.

Originally, we intended to apply these discounts directly through the Pledge Manager. However, due to system limitations, this is not possible. Apologies for the confusion but this is the first time we are implementing a discount of this type. Instead we will be issuing the discount directly through Kickstarter.

Here’s how it will work:

All VIP backers will receive a refund to the card used on Kickstarter, equal to the VIP discount on the Vanguard Vault, Dice Tray, and Vanguard Throne and Jewels.

These refunds will be issued once the final “pledge over time” payments are completed, which we expect to be mid to late February.

Please expect the refund to appear on your account during that period.

If you are a VIP backer and haven’t yet added a Vault, Dice Tray, or Throne, rest assured:
the discounted VIP prices will still be available to you inside the Pledge Manager.
